ATLAS Hydra BIG RAH 1" filters are designed to reduce turbidity and filter out oxidised iron, sand, boiler sludge and clay particles. In the event of clogging, the bottom valve should be opened and the accumulated sand, silt and other sediments flushed out, with the dirty water discharged to the drain or to a separate container.

Flushing is carried out when pressure losses occur, which can be monitored using pressure gauges installed before and after the filter. The degree of contamination is easily monitored thanks to the transparent filter housing.
