It is an ideal solution for homes and cottages with well water, where these issues are common. By using a single housing for two functions, the system is a compact and efficient solution.

Principle of Operation

The system operates on the principle of ion exchange and sorption. Inside the housing is a special multi-component filter media. This media consists of a mixture of two types of resin in equal proportions:

1. Softening Resin: Effectively removes calcium (Ca^{2+}) and magnesium (Mg^{2+}) ions that cause scale and damage household appliances.
2. Iron Removal Resin: Oxidizes and traps dissolved iron (Fe^{2+}) and manganese (Mn^{2+}) ions on its surface, which cause rust stains and a metallic taste.

The electronic valve controls all stages of purification, including the automatic regeneration of the filter media. To restore the resin's properties, the valve initiates a backwash cycle during which a salt solution is fed into the column from a separate brine tank. This effectively cleans the resin of accumulated contaminants and prepares it for a new cycle.
